Today I realized that Cass, from Supernatural, is single handily responsible for seasons six, seven, and eight.
Major, MAJOR spoilers after the jump.
- Cass pulled Sam (sans soul) out of Lucifer's cage and resurrected Grandpappy Campbell
- Cass had Crowley working for him to find alphas so he could find out how to open Purgatory
- Cass opened the gates to Purgatory and became god
- Cass let Crowley go after opening the gates to Purgatory
- Cass kept the Purgatory monsters (including the leviathans) inside himself for a week
- Dick Roman, a leviathan, tried to enslave humanity and killed Bobby, and Frank is most likely dead (but I would love a confirmation of that)
- Bobby went all vengeful spirit then ended up in hell
- Sam and Dean found out about the demon tablet by tailing the leviathans
- Which led to discovering Kevin Tran as the new prophet
- Cass and Dean spent a year in Purgatory and Sam shacked up with a veterinarian
- Chasing after the demon tablet led to the discovery that an angel tablet exists
- Sam went to rescue Bobby from hell to send him to heaven, they got stuck in purgatory, Dean had to kill his vampire best friend, Benny, to spring 'em, and Benny's stuck in purgatory
- Now it's a mad dash to finish translating the demon tablet, complete the last trial, and find Cass, who currently has the angel tablet and is MIA...cue the Benny Hill music
